Apple Pie Overnight Oats (with leftover baby food)

Apple pie is arguably one of the most comforting comfort foods.  These apple pie overnight oats make breakfast taste like dessert!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 100 g apple sauce or apple puree

Method
 

  1. Add all the ingredients into a jar, and stir well. 
  2. Place the lid on the jar and refrigerate for at least two hours, or as its name suggests, overnight. 
  3. Toppings can be added the night before or immediately before serving.
  4. You may eat your overnight oats cold, or warm.  To eat it cold, take it out of the fridge and enjoy immediately.  However, if you would like to eat your overnight oats cold, warm it up in the microwave for about 2 minutes,and enjoy.

Notes

Suggested toppings:  Pecans, freshly diced apples, or stewed apples
