- In a saucepan, add in the milk, tea leaves, and chai spice mix. Heat the ingredients up over medium heat, until it begins to bubble around the edges of the pan. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes. Stir in the maple syrup until combined. Place the saucepan back over medium heat until the mixture is piping hot. Pour the chai tea mixture, through a sieve, into your favourite mug.
- In a milk frother, froth some milk pour it over the top of the Chai tea.
Notes
Make this Chai Latte in bulk, ahead of time! You can scale this recipe and make a bigger batch of chai latte. Keep any leftovers in an airtight container, in the fridge, for up to 4 days.
Serve it cold or hot: To serve it cold, over some ice. If you are feeling extra indulgent, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and garnish with some extra chai spice mix. To serve it hot, reheat it over the stove. Alternatively, you can pour a cup of leftover chai latte into an electric milk frother. The milk frother will reheat your chai latte and froth it up at the same time.
