Ingredients

  • 1 tsp lavender tea
  • 2 tsp loose black tea English Breakfast or Earl Grey Tea
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Drinking chocolate powder to garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Teaspoon
  • 1 Tea pot preferably with a built in strainer
  • 1 Tea strainer if the tea pot does not have a built in strainer
  • 1 Milk frother
  • 1 Mug

Method

  1. Boil water and steep black tea and lavender tea together in a small tea pot for 5 minutes.
  2. Pour tea into a mug about ¾ full. If your tea pot does not have a built in strainer, be sure to pour the tea through a tea strainer first.
  3. Froth milk using a milk frother. (My milk frother heats milk up, but if yours doesn’t, simply heat your milk up in a saucepan and use a hand-held frother to froth the milk).
  4. Add the warmed milk to the tea.
  5. Sprinkle some drinking chocolate powder on top to finish.  Serve immediately.
