I believe eating a wide range of food allows us to enjoy the flavours life has to offer.  My blog will be packed with recipes from many different cuisines from Asia, America, Europe and everywhere in between!

With some recipes, specifically Asian recipes, certain ingredients may be less familiar and harder to find, especially if you are not living outside of Asia!  As I fall into this category, I am always looking for good substitutes for these ingredients while not compromising the quality of the dish. 

Also, as a new mum, I am keen to find ways to shorten and simplify the cooking process while maintaining the dish’s tastiness. 

With a background in baking, it goes without saying that there will be a ton of dessert recipes on my blog!

Hello! I’m Kimberley! A self-professed foodie who loves developing and sharing her recipes. 

I am originally from Singapore and I currently live in Goolwa, a small beach town in South Australia.  From a very young age, I enjoyed spending time in the kitchen learning how to cook and bake with my mum and grandma.  We cooked food for everyday meals to planning and catering our house parties.  My fondest memories consisted of looking through all the cookbooks, planning the menu for my birthday parties.  I loved helping to prepare for the party and later see our idea come to life on, what we call, our buffet table.

Fun Fact: I baked my first cake with my mum at the age of 2 (albeit a Betty Crocker boxed cake).  I baked from scratch by myself when I was 7 years old.  It was a batch of brownies.  The recipe was in grams and I accidentally measured the sugar in ounces!  It was one SWEET brownie!  This was when I learnt the difference between grams and ounces. Oops!

Although I’d always wanted my career to involve food, I ended becoming a lawyer.  Big surprise, I hated my job.  So, I quit and started a baking business selling cakes, cookies, and all things sweet.  Later, I remodeled my business to an online cookie shop called My Cookie Shop.  I am currently taking a break from this business as I’ve just given birth to a beautiful baby girl only a few months ago.  Still itching to create something with the little spare time I have, I’ve decided to start this food blog.  Plus, I like the idea of documenting all my recipes, new and old, in one place.
