Why I love this recipe?
Quick and easy to make Like with most of my recipes, this strawberry banana smoothie is very easy to make. All you’ll need is 4 ingredients, some ice, a blender, and a few minutes!
Healthy and nutritious This recipe only uses natural ingredients that healthy and packed with nutrients.
Versatile The consistency of your smoothie can be altered to how you would like to have it. Add more ice to make it thick, and it will be perfect for a smoothie bowl. Alternatively, use less ice or add more milk to thin the smoothie, and you will have a delicious and refreshing summer drink. Another option, and probably the best option, pour the smoothie into popsicle moulds, freeze it, and you’ve got yourself some naturally sweetened and low in calorie nice-cream!

Flexible Another thing I love about this recipe is that you can make different variations with this smoothie. Experiment with some of your favourite fruits and smoothie boosters. Find some of my favourite things I like to add to this recipe below.
Ingredients
1 Banana
1 cup Strawberries (frozen)
1/4 cup Greek Yogurt
1 cup Milk
How to make this strawberry banana smoothie?
Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend for 1 minute or until well blended. This smoothie should have a thick consistency. If you would like it a little thinner, add more milk and blend again. Do this until you’ve reached your desired consistency.
My favourite smoothie variations:
Fruits If you would like to make your smoothie a little more interesting, experiment by adding in some of your favourite fruits. Some fruits I like to add to this strawberry banana smoothie are mangoes, blueberries, and pineapples.

Greens For an extra nutritious smoothie packed with iron, try adding in a handful or a cup of fresh baby spinach or kale. Although this addition will turn this pink smoothie brown, it will still be delicious.
Vanilla Add some vanilla extract for extra flavour.
Spices Another way to add extra flavour to your smoothie, add half a teaspoon of spices such as: ground cinnamon, ground ginger, or our homemade chai spice mix.
Chia seeds To add even more health benefits to your smoothie, add some chia seeds (I normally had about a tablespoon full).
Powders This smoothie is a great way to include some protein powder or a superfood powder (such as: matcha or acai) into your diet.

Can I make this smoothie without yogurt?
I personally like to slightly tangy flavour Greek yogurt gives to this smoothie. It also makes this smoothie a little creamier. However, if you would prefer, you can make this smoothie without yogurt.
Can I make this strawberry banana smoothie vegan-friendly?
One of the great things about this particular recipe is that it is very flexible. To make this smoothie vegan-friendly, feel free to swap out the dairy milk and yogurt to your choice of plant-based milk and yogurt.
